This stunning hill, reaching an elevation of approximately 3,500 feet above sea level, offers a breathtaking escape into nature's embrace. It is an ideal spot for film shooting, and might also seem familiar if you have seen the movie Last Bus. The hill is accessible by road, and the base of the trek can be reached by private vehicles. This is best place recommended for breathtaking views of sunrise and sunsets.

Ettina Bhuja

Ethina Bhuja is also called as Shishila Gudda, is a hidden gem of a trail in southern Karnataka. The trek to Yettina Bhuja is short and relatively easy. It is ideal for trekking enthusiasts, especially those with limited experience. It is one of the numerous peaks in the Charmadi Ghats region of Karnataka. The initial part of the trail takes one to the Kapila river. A mini waterfall, gurgling sounds of the water, thick canopy of trees, gradual ascent and an undefined trail are the highlights of this place.

Pandavara Gudda

Pandavar Gudda boasts stunning viewpoints, with the ‘Pandavar Gudda Viewpoint’ being the most popular. Accessible through a trek amidst dense forests, this vantage point offers panoramic views of valleys, hills, and forests, creating a captivating setting for birdwatching. The hill station also beckons adventure enthusiasts with trekking trails of varying difficulty levels, leading to the peak and promising a thrilling experience through cascading waterfalls and scenic landscapes. The panaroma is particularly stunning during sunrise and sunset.

Magajahalli Falls

Also known as Hanbal Falls and Abbi Gundi Falls, the waterfall falling from a height of about 20 feet and is a popular spot one can visit located in Hanbal, sakleshpur. Under the chilled waterfall, a bath will be a refreshing activity in the summer season, and in monsoon, one can stare forward to experience the beauty of nature in Magajahalli Waterfalls. For everyone probably, standing beneath the chill waterfall will be a joyous and exciting activity. However, one requires to be careful of the slippery rocks and tend with caution when stepping under the waterfalls.

Bettada Byraveshwara

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Betta Byraveshwara Temple is located atop Pandavar Gudda Hill and is considered approximately 600 years old. The temple is nestled in the beautiful Western Ghats and offers a panoramic view of the landscape. According to the mythology, the Pandavas in Mahabharata stayed here for a short while during their exile. Also known as Bettada Bhairaveshwara Prasanna Temple, this is an excellent tourist spot for those who like the calm and beauty of nature. One can see some big grinding stones at the temple.

CHARMADI GHAT

Charmadi ghat is a mountain pass that connects Mudigere with dakshina kannada district. It is one of the most scenic routes in Karnataka with 12 hairpin bends and stunning views of the valleys, forests and waterfalls. The ghat is also a biodiversity hotspot, with many endemic and endangered species of plants and animals. Its lush landscapes and serene environment offer a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Belur & Halebedu

Belur was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire. With Halebidu which is only 16 km away, this is one of the major tourist destinations in Karnataka. Belur is located in Hassan district. According to inscriptions discovered here, it was also referred to as Velapuri.


The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakeshava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple (dedicated to Chennakeshava, meaning handsome Vishnu) as the centre piece, surrounded by the Kappe Chennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana. It is said that Shantaladevi herself danced in front of the main shrine during its installation and her dance inspired the poses of the figurines on the temple walls.

HORANADU KALASA

Kalasa is a beautiful town in Chikamagalur district of Karnataka. Set in the western ghats amidst plantations and mountains all around. Kalasa is known for Lord Kalaseshwara temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Temple is known for Sage Agasthya who was camping in south on instructions from Lord Shiva to balance the southern peninsula against the weight in Kailasa which was crowded to witness Shiva s wedding. Temple is noted for the swayambu linga supposed to be about 3000 years old.
